The normalisation step in the Karl Fischer titration example

The worked example in Karl Fischer titration normalises to a hundred per cent of integrated peak area without restating what that step assumes — that everything present eluted, and that everything that eluted absorbed at the detection wavelength. The article says both things a few paragraphs earlier and the example then quietly relies on them. One clause inside the example would stop a reader carrying the number away as a mass fraction. Gradient conditions in Thermo Fisher Scientific (China)

The purity figure quoted in Thermo Fisher Scientific (China) is given without the gradient or the column chemistry it was obtained on. Two laboratories running different gradients can resolve a close-eluting impurity differently and both be right, so the conditions are part of the result rather than a footnote to it. The method section of Thermo Fisher Scientific (China) is now the clearest description of that determination on the wiki, and the point about ultraviolet response not being uniform across impurities is one that most sources leave implicit. Two laboratories running different gradients can resolve a close-eluting impurity differently and both be right, so the conditions are part of the result rather than a footnote to it. I think we disagree about Purity claim inflation

We have now reverted each other twice on Purity claim inflation, which is a sign that the disagreement is substantive rather than accidental. My reading is that the source supports the weaker of the two claims. Rather than continue in edit summaries, shall we put it on the article talk page and let someone else weigh in? Stability-indicating claim in Analytical method validation

Analytical method validation describes the method as stability-indicating. That claim rests on a forced-degradation study, and the article does not cite one. Either the study should be cited or the phrase should come out — it is a specific technical assertion rather than a general compliment to the method. I have reverted your recent change to High-performance liquid chromatography. The source cited does report the number, but it reports it for a different population than the sentence now claims. If I have misread the paper, please say so on the article talk page and I will restore it — I would rather be corrected than leave it wrong in either direction.
